This has been a game changer for me
This is how I took control of the negative narrative

We all looked at ourselves and probably said some version of the same thing - I’m fat, I’m ugly, my arms are too big, my butt is too small, my hair is so flat or my hair is so frizzy, etc

We let our looks, something so superficial, change how we feel about ourselves. And if we dig even deeper is that really how we feel or do we not fit into the “standard” and that’s why we feel this way?

Anywho, I decided I was going to start saying nice things to my body instead of mean things and everything changed

My goal here is to help other women realize their worth isn’t dependent on their outward appearance

I spoke with a friend recently. She’s someone who I personally would describe as confident, independent and strong. So imagine my shock when she told me during our conversation that she feels self-conscious because of her body.

She’s grew up hearing her mom talk about her body in a negative way. Eventually some of those comments became directed towards her. I know her story is not unique. We all grew up with the message that our bodies are supposed to look a certain way and if they didn’t, we were ugly.

I felt sad for her because I remember feeling those same constraints myself. I’ve been able to break free from the body shame but it’s not easy.

This is the exact reason I created the 5 day body confidence challenge. So I could personal help other women learn to live in their body instead of judge their body.

I decided instead of pushing through as I normally would (because I feel an invisible pressure to be everywhere to support everyone all the time - I’m known as the friend who will show up) I’m going to cancel my plans and REST.

It’s loving myself to say slow down and confidence that my friends, acquaintances, and network will still be there for me 💕
